Care Bear Bags

In order to meet our principal goal of providing direct relief to young children suffering from poverty and /or child abuse and trauma, OMEP WA distributes through Salvation Army colleagues, care bear bags to young children living in these circumstances. Housed in a sturdy, eco-friendly carry bag, each kit contains a soft, cuddly, knitted teddy donated by the Needle, Knit and Natters Club to provide comfort in times of stress. Further contents consist of common clothing items of T shirt, shorts, undies, socks, beanie or cap, as well as hygiene items such as tooth brush and toothpaste. Drawing materials are included, along with a picture book, puzzle, game or toy to bring joy to these young children.
