The Sydney team has been overwhelmed by the warmth and generosity of the community in supporting our Toy Library initiative. As soon as we shared our vision, families, organisations, and local communities came together to donate a wonderful variety of toys for children of all ages. The timing made this even more special—many of these donations came during the festive season when families were already busy with celebrations and commitments. Despite this, they made time to contribute, showing the true spirit of giving and community support.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Killarney Heights Scout Group (both Cubs and Scouts), the Killarney Heights and Forestville communities, and the Hornsby Wood Working Men’s Shed, which generously contributed toys through the Hornsby Salvation Army. We also sincerely appreciate the North Sydney Community Centre’s Playgroup, After School Care families, and the wider local community for their incredible support. The generosity of these communities has truly made a difference, and the Sydney team is beyond grateful for their kindness.

The Sydney team met one weekend in February and we are delighted to report that the toys are now cleaned, packed, and safely stored in our local storage facility! An estimated 40 boxes filled with a balanced mix of toys catering to various age groups and diverse play experiences are ready for PNG (13 boxes), Timor-Leste (13 boxes), Fiji (13 boxes), and locally in Sydney (6 boxes).

We look forward to continuing this meaningful initiative and working together to provide more children with the joy of play. Thank you to everyone who has contributed—we could not do this without you!
