Looking After our Fascinating Earth Publication

In 2019, the year of the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, OMEP WA was pleased to present honour certificates to 24 Year 2 children from Westminster JP School for their outstanding achievements at the launch of their publication Looking After our Fascinating Earth.
Following on from a study of Child Rights and Responsibilities and focusing on Article 29 “to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people” these young children researched global warming and brainstormed strategies to help overcome the deleterious effects of climate change and pollution on our planet. They then gave full reign to their thoughts, ideas and perspectives in writing the text with wonderful illustrations, thereby becoming authors of a publication that is sure to delight its readers.
